What You'll DoAs CEI Technician I, you'll perform on-site inspections, materials testing, and documentation-supporting Project Managers and Construction Managers to verify contractor compliance with contract documents and specifications.
- Support Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle with inspection and documentation tasks.
- Record, measure, and verify quantities for pay applications and project tracking.
- Inspect roadway materials and verify conformance with owner specifications and approved submittals.
- Perform materials testing (concrete, asphalt, soils, etc.) as required by owner specifications.
- Consult with supervisors to plan acceptance testing and evaluate field conditions;

* * issues promptly. - Report maintenance problems at the project site and collaborate on timely resolution.
- Write daily reports, staff reports, and letters on construction activities as needed.
- Engage in self-education and training to keep up with current industry trends and changes.
- Perform responsibilities consistent with ethical engineering standards in the company handbook.
- Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Possession of a valid state issued Driver's License and required auto insurance
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Basic knowledge of state and/or local construction and building guidelines and roadway construction practices (reconstruction, rehabilitation, pavement management).
- Ability to interpret highway contracts, special provisions, plans, and specifications; strong written communication and documentation skills.
- Clear speech, detail orientation, sound judgment/decision-making, organization, and teamwork.
- Construction testing certifications (e.g., ESPC, hot mix, concrete, OSHA) a plus.
