The Lead Superintendent oversees the construction effort on complex healthcare projects to ensure safety, quality, budget, and schedule adherence. This position supervises and mentors Superintendents, collaborates with the project team, manages Owner’s expectations, and ensures compliance with all regulations and standards. The Lead Superintendent provides leadership, strategic planning, and embraces innovation in construction.
Responsibilities- Enforce safety policies, including pre-task planning and compliance.
- Support sales efforts and promote Barton Malow in healthcare.
- Establish project build strategies and site logistics plans.
- Manage project schedules, subcontractor coordination, and labor harmony.
- Coordinate permits and inspections with authorities.
- Assist in bid development and participate in bid processes.
- Manage project budgets, costs, and change monitoring.
- Attend project meetings and report on progress and challenges.
- Ensure installation quality standards are met.
- Mentor and support upcoming Superintendents and team members.
- Minimum 15 years' healthcare construction experience on large projects.
- Experience leading healthcare projects ≥ $500 million.
- At least 8 years of direct supervision of project teams.
- Willingness to travel throughout the Southeast.
- Regional experience and contractor knowledge.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- OSHA 30 certification.
