Position: Managing Editor & Community Lead, Do615

At its core, this role is about creating and growing an exceptional daily email—one that excites locals, keeps them in the know, and makes Do615 an indispensable part of their daily routine. The newsletter is where our audience turns to discover the best events, concerts, and experiences in their city before anyone else. You'll take ownership of this daily touchpoint, crafting engaging, high‑impact content that keeps our community coming back.

Beyond the newsletter, you will be responsible for ensuring our website is the best possible representation of Nashville—keeping event listings fresh, curating must‑attend events, making sure our venue and artist pages stay up to date, and working with a network of contributors to enhance our content. You’ll also cultivate relationships with local venues, promoters, and brands—securing partnerships, ticket giveaways, and exclusive experiences for our audience.

Social media plays a role in amplifying our presence, but email is where we truly connect with our community.

Additionally, you’ll engage directly with users, answering questions and ensuring they have a seamless experience across our platforms.

This is a full‑time hybrid position based in Nashville, ideal for someone who is deeply connected to their local scene and obsessed with newsletters and audience engagement.

What You’ll Do

—crafting engaging, well‑written newsletters that reflect the best things happening in your city.
  • Grow our newsletter audience
—applying tactics to increase subscribers and ensure strong engagement.
  • Maintain a high‑quality website
—curating event listings, updating venue and artist pages, and ensuring our content is useful and fresh.
  • Execute sponsored content
—integrating partner promotions naturally into our newsletters and website.
  • Drive audience growth and engagement
—analyzing performance metrics and iterating to improve open rates, click‑rates, and site traffic.
  • Manage social media channels
—creating content, engaging with followers, and ensuring our creator network is pushing out the appropriate amount of content to keep our channels active and engaged.
  • Manage local partnerships and community engagement
—collaborate with venues, artists, and brands to secure ticket giveaways, exclusive promotions, and unique experiences for our audience. Respond to user inquiries across email, social, and other platforms to ensure a seamless and engaging experience.
  • Ensure brand consistency and editorial quality
—writing with a defined voice, maintaining high standards, and ensuring a seamless experience across platforms.
  • Build and oversee a network of content creators, freelancers, and interns who specialize in areas like music, food, or niche events to ensure well‑rounded content coverage.
Your ultimate mission is to ensure all of our content is engaging and relevant to a variety of local scenes by creating quality content, working with local promoters, using our technology & scrapers, and collaborating with others in the community.
