Volunteer Business Mentor – Periscope Nashville

Position: Periscope Mentor (Unpaid)
Location: Remote/In-Person (Nashville, TN preferred)
Commitment: May–October 2026 (Approximately 1 hour per month, flexible schedule)

The Arts & Business Council of Greater Nashville is seeking volunteer professionals to serve as mentors for the 2026 Periscope:
Artist Entrepreneur Training program. As a mentor, you will work one-on-one with a Nashville-based artist, helping them apply entrepreneurial tools, refine business strategies, and prepare for the Periscope Pitch + Artist Entrepreneur Showcase. Your mentorship will play a vital role in empowering artists to build sustainable careers.

• Provide individualized support to a mentee by:
• • Meeting at least monthly (in person or virtually) to discuss career goals, business practices, and entrepreneurial strategies.
  • Guiding the mentee through implementing tools learned in Periscope to advance their creative practice.
  • Offering constructive feedback and accountability to help overcome roadblocks.
  • Assist in preparing mentees for the Periscope Pitch + Artist Entrepreneur Showcase, if they choose to participate, including helping refine and rehearse their pitch.
  • Set clear expectations for the mentorship, including communication preferences, confidentiality, and meeting schedules.

• Experience in business, entrepreneurship, or arts-related fields.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for fostering creativity and supporting artist development.
• Ability to provide strategic guidance in areas such as business planning, marketing, or financial management.

• Flexible schedule with minimal time commitment.
