Receptionist, Customer Service​/HelpDesk

Soni is partnered with a client looking for a temporary receptionist to answer phones, welcome visitors, and keep the front desk running smoothly. The role also involves accepting donations, handling deliveries, and helping connect community members with food assistance resources.

• Answers incoming calls on the main phone line and directs callers to the right staff member or department.
• Greets staff, visitors, volunteers, and guests when they arrive, lets the appropriate staff contact know their guest is here, and gives directions within the facility. Makes sure all visitors are signed in and identified as food safety standards require.
• Gives callers and visitors who need food assistance the locations of nearby food distribution sites. Keeps site details, such as days, hours, and contact information, up to date as the partner agency team sends changes.
• Accepts food and monetary donations from donors who drop off in person.
• Receives and signs for packages delivered on behalf of the organization.
• Trains and supervises volunteers, relief staff, and temporary employees on front desk duties.
• Keeps the front desk manual and procedure guides current and shares updates with the front desk coverage team through the internal messaging platform.

Compensation: $22/ Hr

Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
