Position: Surgical Assistant (RDA)

At Coyne Oral Surgery, we are committed to delivering outstanding patient care in a supportive and team‑oriented environment. We are currently looking for a dedicated Registered Surgical Assistant who takes pride in providing high‑quality clinical support and helping create a calm, positive experience for every patient.

This role is essential to the success of our surgical team and daily operations. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, patient‑focused, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced clinical setting while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Oral Surgeon throughout a wide range of oral and maxillofacial procedures.
  • Set up and break down treatment rooms in accordance with clinical protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Ensure proper sterilization, organization, and readiness of instruments and equipment.
  • Take accurate, diagnostic dental x‑rays and scans as needed.
  • Educate patients on post‑operative care instructions and answer questions to support recovery.
  • Document patient information, treatment details, and clinical notes accurately.
  • Assist with administrative and computer‑based tasks using dental software systems.
  • Safeguard patient information and comply with HIPAA and confidentiality standards.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting program with a Certification or Associate Degree required.
  • Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license required.
  • Two or more years of dental assisting experience strongly preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Comfortable using computers and dental software for daily tasks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional demeanor with a dependable, patient‑centered approach.
  • Highly organized, punctual, and attentive to detail.
  • Eagerness to continue learning and grow within the role.
  • Willingness to cross‑train and support front office functions when needed.
