Established private practice group is looking for a full-time Pulmonary and Critical Care physician to join their team in Hermitage, Tennessee at Tri Star Summit Medical Center.
Job SummaryEstablished private practice group is looking for a full-time Pulmonary and Critical Care physician to join their team in Hermitage, Tennessee at Tri Star Summit Medical Center.
Responsibilities- Provide pulmonary and critical care medicine within a private practice group at Tri Star Summit Medical Center.
- Collaborate with inpatient ICU staff; 40 ICU beds; in-house APPs cover ICU 7p-7a; sleep lab available.
- Schedule model: 7 on/7 off in hospital and 1 week of outpatient clinic per month with 1 week off.
- Join an existing group of 3 full-time MDs and 2 full-time APPs; office call shared, 1:7 patient volume with low burden.
- In-house APPs employed by the group to cover ICU 7p-7a; three nights of call during ICU weeks to back up APPs.
- Mix of inpatient (approximately 70%) and outpatient (approximately 30%).
- Must be board eligible or board certified in Pulmonary Disease & Critical Care.

- Tri Star Summit Medical Center is a 220-bed facility offering a full range of acute care services including cardiology, emergency, oncology, orthopedics/spine, rehabilitation and women’s services; serves the community with over 60,000 annual ER visits.
- Tri Star Summit has served Davidson, Wilson and surrounding counties for over 25 years with more than 35 medical specialties represented.
- Middle Tennessee Pulmonary Associates is physician-owned and operated.
- Schedule includes inpatient and outpatient mix and 40 ICU beds; MOB located on facility campus.
- Compensation and schedule details reflect a collaborative private practice environment.
The city of Hermitage is located 14 miles from Nashville, with Percy Priest Lake nearby and easy access to Nashville International Airport.
