Adjunct Faculty - Art Therapy

Teach Art Therapy courses as needed during the academic year.

• Master’s degree in Art Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field required. A terminal degree and/or ATR-BC/licensure is preferred.
• Professional experience in art therapy or related clinical practice required. Teaching experience, particularly at the university level, is preferred but not required.
• Hands‑on experience with Blackboard or Canvas (or comparable LMS) and familiarity with digital tools relevant to teaching.
• Technologically adept and comfortable integrating media into instruction.
• Self‑motivated, reliable, and responsible.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Develop and adapt curriculum for Art Therapy courses as needed.
• Create and evaluate assignments in a timely fashion, providing constructive feedback.
• Attend department orientations and trainings as required.
• Support students in connecting studio practice with therapeutic theory and application.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Department Chair.
