High School, Science Teacher, Online Teaching, Special Education Teacher
Ensworth School seeks a dynamic and intellectually engaging teacher to join its high school Science and Math Departments. Strong candidates will have demonstrated abilities to develop strong relationships with students and colleagues and to collaborate within and across their disciplines. A love for teaching high school students is essential to this position, as are the abilities to align teaching and learning to Ensworth’s Core Skills Framework, flexibility in teaching multiple levels and courses within the disciplines, and the capacities to adapt to new technologies and create experiential, STEM-based learning opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have experience teaching a range of math and science courses, including physics and chemistry. The ability to develop curriculum, plan lessons, manage a lab safely, provide differentiated instruction, assess student progress, integrate educational technology, and facilitate inquiry-based learning is essential. Applicants should hold a degree in math, physics, chemistry, or a related field, and multiple years of teaching experience at either the high school or college level are preferred.
While the primary professional responsibility of an Ensworth faculty member is to conduct the School’s curricular program, this instructor will also serve as a student advisor and have co-curricular, extracurricular, complementary, and professional responsibilities as articulated in the Ensworth Employee Handbook.
