Part Time - AV Tech - Category 10 – Ryman Hospitality Properties
OverviewServe as a technician and supporting engineer, operating audio, video, and lighting equipment for music performances at a multi‑experiential live music venue, bar, and restaurant. Work with a team to deliver exceptional service and world‑class technical execution for visiting artists and guests. Reports to the Manager of Production.
Responsibilities- Serve as primary audio/visual equipment operator for music performances and events.
- Provide day‑to‑day technical and operational needs for sound, lights, video, and back‑line equipment.
- Coordinate onsite production with venue leadership and provide stage direction when needed.
- Assist department leads with preventive maintenance and repair of audio‑visual and lighting equipment and media appliances; report technical issues.
- Assist visiting artists with equipment load‑in, set‑up, tear‑down, and load‑out.
- Support line‑dance instructors with the use of required systems (wireless mics, audio console, playback, etc.).
- Interface with technical services, IT staff, and other departments concerning technical systems.
- Maintain operational understanding of current audio/visual/lighting/back‑line technologies and production vendors.
- Ensure safe use of equipment in accordance with industry standards from load‑in to load‑out.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for artists, clients, and employees, following all codes, laws, regulations, and emergency procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years as an audio, lighting, or video engineer for a national touring act, production vendor/supplier, performance venue, or hotel AV department.
- Hands‑on experience required with equipment repair procedures and maintenance.
- Working knowledge of live audio, acoustics, stage lighting, and video engineering.
- Forklift certification required upon hire.
Drug screening (4‑panel: phencyclidine, cocaine, amphetamines, and opiates).
