Adjunct Instructor – Clinical Nursing (Pool)

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for delivering quality instruction in an equitable environment.

Essential Job Functions / Typical

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Teach courses and laboratories as assigned.
  • Work with course leads and/or program coordinators to ensure consistent and equitable student experiences.
  • Collaborate with program, semester, and/or course coordinators to facilitate communication with clinical sites and coordinate clinical schedules.
  • Assist in the selection of program equipment.
  • Participate in the development, evaluation, revision and accreditation of courses, programs and curricula.
  • Utilize the College’s learning management system to provide course materials to students.
  • Submit updated department syllabus prior to the first day of class.
  • Regularly check College email account and department mailbox; respond to emails/messages within 48 hours, except on weekends.
  • Complete all required reports, such as attendance, Early Alerts, student progress reports, grade submissions, and administer and return surveys and student outcome assessments by the deadlines.
  • Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the Registrar.
  • Comply with all College and T  policies and guidelines.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in Nursing
  • Active RN license in Tennessee or approved compact state
  • Evidence of clinical expertise in a related field
Preferred Qualifications
  • BSN
Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with a variety of instructional delivery modes, including synchronous and asynchronous online teaching.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a diverse student, faculty and staff population.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
Rate of Pay

Varies by course.
