TSD Nashville - Substitute Teacher

TSD Nashville is currently looking to hire substitute teachers. Substitute teachers work as needed when the regular teacher is absent from the classroom.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cover classes for days when classroom teacher is absent

• Follow lesson plans prepared by the teacher or administrator

• Manage student behavior and attention to work in the classroom

• Write daily notes for teachers as needed for appropriate follow up

Part-time hourly position. Hours not to exceed 37.5 per week.

Requirements
• Bachelor Degree preferred, High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• Basic Knowledge of classroom structure.

• SLPI:

ASL rating of Intermediate Plus or above required; SLPI/ASL rating of Advanced preferred. American Sign Language (ASL) sign classes and skill development support available for selected qualified applicants who do not meet the rating level.
