DescriptionThe Department Chemistry at Vanderbilt University seeks a highly motivated candidate with a strong commitment to undergraduate education and a Ph.D. in Chemistry to fill a non-tenure track, instructional faculty position at the rank of Senior Lecturer beginning in AY . The ideal candidate will have expertise in the field of physical chemistry and is interested in the instruction of physical and general chemistry, including related laboratory courses.
This position will also support the Arts & Science Core curriculum. Other responsibilities may include advising students, managing departmental and program extracurricular activities, contributing to programming, and other duties as assigned.
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry by August 1, 2027. Postdoctoral research and/or teaching experience is desirable. Applicants should highlight their experience working with undergraduates and mentoring undergraduate researchers in the laboratory where possible.
