DescriptionThe English Department at Vanderbilt University is accepting applications for a tenured Associate Professor in the field of Global Modernism. We especially welcome candidates who study Anglophone modern isms comparatively alongside other modernist traditions of the early 20th century.
All faculty in the English Department teach classes at all levels of the curriculum (ranging from introductory and more specialized courses to graduate seminars), participate in the A&S College Core, and serve in an advisory/mentoring capacity for honors students, undergraduate majors, and graduate students.
QualificationsSuccessful applicants must meet Vanderbilt’s standard for tenure and promotion, which includes a strong record of publication of scholarship of such high quality as to gain favorable recognition within their discipline and at a national level, highly effective teaching, and service to the field.
