What We're Looking For

Barge Design Solutions is currently seeking a Bridge Engineer to join our growing team. This role supports the planning, design, and execution of bridge engineering projects across a variety of transportation infrastructure initiatives. The ideal candidate will contribute to engineering documentation, design development, and technical problem-solving while working on multiple projects ranging from small assignments to more complex portions of larger, multidisciplinary efforts.

This position offers the opportunity to serve as a technical lead on select projects and collaborate closely with project managers, senior engineers, and clients to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in project scope and budget development, as well as, assisting in project design.
• Supports PM providing technical leadership on conventional projects.
• Designs experiments, interprets, and develops conclusions on complex data.
• Writes and reviews engineer specifications, documents, drawings, etc. to produce various deliverables.
• Designs a component, or process on a complex projects or designs complete a project, systems, or components on conventional projects.
• Responsibility for completing a subset of project documents.
• Participate in client meetings, as appropriate.
• Conducts on-site visits to monitor progress of project.
• Performs other duties as requested.

Education & Experience Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from accredited program.
• Minimum of 6 or more years of engineering experience and Registered PE.
• Applies practical knowledge acquired through progressive experience to resolve issues.
• Strong working knowledge of Auto Cad, Micro station, and other essential equipment for field and office work.
• Keeps informed of new methods and developments affecting the organization.
