Job Description

Dewberry is seeking a Water/Wastewater Electrical Engineer (W/WW) to join our MEPS Infrastructure group in our Nashville, TN office. The successful candidate should have experience specifying, designing, and implementing electrical power systems for Water/Wastewater projects. This position has the potential to develop and lead a group of water/wastewater electrical engineers. The candidate will report to the MEPS Infrastructure Department Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Provide electrical power system engineering and design for Water/Wastewater projects.
  • Design low voltage electrical power distribution, motor control, VFDs, lighting systems, equipment layouts, and related systems.
  • Prepare electrical specifications, drawings, and cost estimates.
  • Review and approve contractor submittals.
  • Sizing conduit and wiring, laying out electrical distribution equipment, and designing lighting systems.
  • Coordinate with instrumentation and controls engineers and other disciplines to execute electrical designs.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
  • 5-10 years of design experience in Water/Wastewater projects or WW/W operations.
  • PE license or ability to obtain within 1 year.
  • Self-starter with initiative, drive, and determination.
  • Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC), NFPA Life Safety Codes, and related standards.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills for coordination and client interaction.
  • No sponsorship available for work authorization at this time.
