Structural EITThe Structural EIT assists senior design staff in executing technical activities required on assigned projects and learns discipline‑specific technical standards and procedures. The role supports the project team in producing projects on time, within budget, and consistent with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities- Learn industry standards, company technical policies, and procedures during project execution.
- Observe and learn design analyses using industry software.
- Assist with production of designs using Revit and/or CADD.
- Assist in executing design processes and analysis under supervision.
- Perform basic computer‑based engineering calculations and system design functions.
- Assist in coordinating design with other disciplines to determine equipment needs and provide technical input.
- Observe and learn information used by project managers to develop man‑hour budgets.
- Assist in developing technical documentation, proposals, and presentations.
- Learn to communicate design requirements with contractors and sales representatives to determine scope and feasibility.
- Accompany senior design staff on site visits to investigate field conditions and monitor progress.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, schematics, and engineering reports.
- Attend internal and external training to gain knowledge in required technical areas.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering (ABET‑accredited) with a focus in Water Resources or a closely related discipline.
- Knowledge of industry‑specific software (Revit, AutoCAD).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Understanding of engineering theories and methodologies.
