Position: Environmental Planner 1

Responsibilities
  • Collect and manage project‑related data for environmental science and planning‑related studies.
  • Provide technical guidance on the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and related environmental law and regulation as it relates to both transportation and non‑transportation projects.
  • Prepare and/or review NEPA documents.
  • Manage, analyze, conduct, and/or review technical studies in support of NEPA documents.
  • Assist senior staff in environmental task assignments.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Environmental Science, Resources, Planning, or related field
  • Local candidates preferred
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Resources or Planning
  • Experience with MS Office Suite
  • Self‑starter with excellent writing and communication skills
  • Strong conceptual, organizational, problem‑solving and research abilities
  • Demonstrated commitment to an employee‑owned culture
