HDR is seeking a Geotechnical Business Class Lead to oversee national engagement in deep foundation design and construction. The role involves developing a cohesive geotechnical community of practice in the southeastern US (FL, AL, MS, TN, SC), representing HDR to clients, and supporting strategic growth through technical leadership and staff development.

• Lead and coordinate geotechnical staff in deep foundation design and construction to meet client needs and market trends.
• Engage in project approach reviews for alternate delivery projects.
• Mentor and manage geotechnical personnel.
• Promote innovative geotechnical practices and risk mitigation strategies.
• Contribute to HDR’s geotechnical standards and quality assurance processes.
• Participate in strategic planning and project management to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Manage projects, develop marketing proposals, and represent HDR in client interactions.
• Collaborate with HDR’s geotechnical community and facilitate national training programs.

• Active PE license in AL, FL, MS, SC, and TN or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Master’s degree in Engineering (Geotechnical/Geologic) or equivalent experience.
• 15+ years of progressive geotechnical engineering experience, including leadership roles.
• Proficiency in geotechnical software and deep foundation analysis.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience.
• Professional registration and proven team management skills.
