Base pay range

$45.00/yr - $47.33/yr

6 month contract (huge opportunity to extend or even convert to full time with the client) for a Senior IBM Integration Engineer (Data Power/ACE)
role with a leading client in Nashville, TN area. APPLY NOW!

Location:

Downtown
- Nashville, TN

Shift: M-F 8AM to 5 PM, some weekend production deployment (maybe 1-2 times a month).

Type:
Contract

Pay: $45-47.33/hour on w2- MAX rate

IV type: 1 round panel IV

Length: 6 months- possibility to extend contract

Screenings: no tech, full panel drug and background once hired

Must haves:

  • flexibility with work schedule: M-F 8AM to 5 PM, some weekend production deployment (maybe 1-2 times a month)
  • (master's degree is overqualified for role)
  • Min Years of experience: 7+ years Security environment experience
  • IBM Data Power and ACE administration experience

    High School Diploma required but additional experience necessary-Will accept Bachelor’s Degree.

Job Description

Summary:

The main function of an specialty analyst/developer is to develop, create, and modify general computer applications software or specialized utility programs utilizing software packages considered. A typical specialty analyst/developer is responsible for designing software or customizing software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Modify existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance.
  • Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
  • Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met.
  • Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.
  • Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan computer specifications and layouts, and peripheral equipment modifications.
  • Obtain and evaluate information on factors such as reporting formats required, costs, and security needs to determine hardware configuration.
  • Consult with customers about software system design and maintenance.
  • Confer with systems analysts, engineers, programmers and others to design system and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.

Skills:

  • Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
  • Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
  • Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, electronic equipment and computer hardware and software.
  • Knowledge of design techniques and principles involved in production of drawings and models.
  • Knowledge of niche computer software, such as Oracle, , Lawson, etc.

Typical task breakdown:

  • Meet with customers to gather integrations specs and general requirements
  • Develop integrations to meet these specs
  • General support, production deployment, and post-go-live support
  • Software and infrastructure administration (patching, security, certificate management)

Interaction with team:

  • Highly collaborative at times with sufficient time to devote to individual development.

Team Structure:

  • One Manager, one team lead, rest individual contributors including one architect
