Job Title: Junior Environmental Engineer - Water Services

CDM Smith is looking for an entry‑level Environmental, Water Resources, or Civil Engineer to join our Water Services Group. This role supports design and implementation of water and wastewater treatment facilities, sewer systems, pipelines, and associated infrastructure. Under supervision, you will ensure designs meet client specifications and comply with federal, state, and local regulatory standards.

• Conduct site assessments and adjust design parameters as needed.
• Perform water quality analyses and modeling.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation, and collaborate on client presentations.
• Assist with creating documents and presentations using ArcGIS, HEC‑RAS, SWMM, CADD, Excel, and other software.
• Support fieldwork and construction management activities to gain comprehensive project lifecycle experience.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• At least 1 year of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required; travel frequency contingent on duties.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

• Intermediate knowledge of CAD/CADD 3D and 4D software and practices.
• Knowledge of engineering principles of design.
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft business software (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Tennessee – Nashville. Field and office locations as needed.

Amount of travel required: 10%.
