CAD Designer​/Mechanical Engineer

Client is a deep‑technology startup focused on developing advanced multidisciplinary (optics, imaging, mechanics, AI) solutions to existing and future problems in semiconductor manufacturing equipment. Our executive team has more than 170 years of combined experience in this market, and we have a strong integrity‑based culture that focuses on respect and honest communications. We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in CAD design.

• This person will assist in designing the mechanical part of our products, including sensing instruments and complex multidisciplinary process systems with robotics, electro‑optics, and other mechanical subsystems.
• Interface with internal team members and outsource partners.
• Conduct and/or supervise design validation testing.
• Support turning prototypes into high‑quality released products.
• Position will be based in Nashville, TN, US. Strong preference will be given to qualified applicants that are already located in the Nashville metropolitan area.

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred, may be waived in favor of applicable experience.
• At least 2 years of work experience with mechanical design.
• Solid background in CAD design (Solid Works, Fusion
  360, etc.).
• Experience with optical components would be an advantage.
• Familiarity with semiconductor process equipment preferred.
• Flexibility for working in a highly dynamic startup environment.
