Mechanical Engineer - New Product Development

Location: Remote + 15% Travel

Position Overview:

A growing engineering and manufacturing organization in the industrial equipment space is seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to join its New Product Development team. This is a high-impact design role where you’ll take ownership of complex mechanical systems and help bring innovative products to life.

• Design mechanical components and assemblies, including conveyors and custom machinery.
• Develop 3D models and detailed fabrication drawings using AutoCAD Mechanical & Inventor.
• Apply customer specifications and engineering principles to new and existing designs.
• Troubleshoot design challenges and evaluate feasibility of complex assemblies.
• Collaborate with production to refine drawings and support manufacturing.
• Work closely with Sales to gather technical requirements.
• Lead smaller projects and provide guidance to junior team members.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related).
• 5+ years of mechanical design experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Mechanical and Autodesk Inventor.
• Strong experience creating shop drawings for weldments, parts, and assemblies.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and take ownership of technical decisions.
• Creative problem solver with strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative team.
