A growing transportation team in Nashville is looking for a full-time, entry-level Transportation Engineer-in-Training to support public infrastructure projects. This role offers hands-on experience in design, analysis, and project coordination across multiple disciplines.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with transportation design, plan production, and traffic studies
- Support the development of roadway projects meeting TDOT, AASHTO, and MUTCD standards
- Conduct horizontal and vertical geometric design
- Contribute to stormwater, erosion control, and traffic control planning
- Collaborate with engineers, surveyors, and landscape architects
- Help prepare technical reports and design deliverables
- Participate in multi-department coordination and client meetings
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 1–3+ years of experience in transportation or traffic engineering
- Proficiency in Micro Station, Open Roads Designer, or AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Familiarity with AASHTO, TDOT, and MUTCD guidelines
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
