YourRole
Southern Tool Specialist, Inc. (STS) is seeking a Regional Sales Engineer to manage and grow our established West Tennessee and Western Kentucky territory. Reporting directly to the Zone Manager, this role serves as a trusted technical and process consultant to manufacturing customers. The Regional Sales Engineer partners closely with customers to evaluate assembly, fastening, and material handling processes; identify inefficiencies; and develop engineered solutions that improve productivity, quality, and cost performance.
The position involves regular on‑site engagement, collaboration with OEM partners, and the application of tools, software, and automation‑ready solutions to support continuous improvement initiatives across customer operations.
- Base salary and vehicle allowance provided
- No cap on commissions

- A bachelor’s degree (Engineering preferred)
- Residency in the territory, Nashville, TN area preferred
- Comfortable traveling 80% of the month to customers in West Tennessee and Western Kentucky, with 40% overnight travel
- 3 to 4 years of outside sales experience
- 3 years of experience in a technical, manufacturing, or industrial sales environment
- 3 years of experience communicating with different departments
- 3 to 4 years of experience negotiating contracts and creating quotes
- 3 years of experience expanding sales territories
- Ability to work in a hybrid workplace
