Mechanical Engineering Co-op (Spring 2027) is a full-time, onsite co-op at SSOE's Nashville, TN office where the student performs supervised mechanical engineering tasks, learns department standards and procedures, and supports project delivery. The role emphasizes gaining practical engineering experience, meeting deadlines, and using company-provided AI tools and training to enhance productivity.

Mechanical Engineering Co-op — Spring 2027. Full-time, onsite co-op rotation at SSOE’s Nashville, TN office. The co-op performs assigned mechanical engineering tasks under close supervision, follows department standards and procedures, and contributes to delivering quality work on schedule and within budget.

• Perform assigned tasks under close supervision of the Department Manager or designee.
• Learn and apply department standards, methods, and procedures relevant to mechanical engineering.
• Meet daily deadlines and complete special projects as assigned.
• Support team efforts to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
• Occasional travel may be required.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license (may be waived for international assignments).

• Current enrollment in a two- or four-year college degree program (co-op/internship eligibility required).
• Second- or third-year students preferred.
• Demonstrated organizational skills.
• Ability to follow detailed instruction and work in a team environment.

SSOE provides training and responsible access to industry-leading AI large language models and vibe-coding platforms, and expects co-op students to leverage these tools to enhance productivity and streamline workflows.

• Hourly wage: $19–$23 per hour (depends on year in school).

• Onsite at SSOE Nashville, TN office. Remote or hybrid work arrangements are not available for this position.
