Responsibilities Assist in the day‑to‑day management of a location ensuring valet operations are handled within contractual guidelines, adhering to company policies and procedures, fostering good client relations and promoting a professional image and approach to the business. Key duties include:
- Greet guests courteously.
- Ensure customers receive timely service.
- Assist customers in and out of their vehicle.
- Drive, park, and retrieve customer vehicles safely and professionally.
- Assist with hiring, training, and coaching the valet team.
- Create a staffing schedule based on daily vehicle volume.
- Maintain full compliance with standard operating procedures, ensuring safety and security of vehicles and keys.
- Prepare and process daily paperwork according to audit compliance standards.
- Keep drive lanes and crosswalks clean of debris, water, oil spills, etc.
- Develop and implement a successful staging plan to maximize parking capacity.
- Quickly identify vehicle make and models; have basic knowledge of vehicle operations.
- Substitute for any position as needed.
- Complete other duties as required.
Qualifications In addition to the duties listed above, candidates should meet the following:
- Minimal high school diploma or equivalent, or at least 6 months of related experience or training (or equivalent).
- Valid state‑issued driver's license with acceptable driving record; manual‑transmission driving may be required.
- Strong verbal communication: speaks clearly, listens, and responds well to questions.
- Strong written communication: writes clearly, reads and interprets written information.
- Customer‑service orientation: maintains a positive attitude and responds professionally and courteously.
- Adaptability: can adapt to changes, delays, or unexpected events.
- Sound judgment and decision‑making.
Physical Demands These physical demands are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee will frequently sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, and talk. The employee will walk and run for extended periods to park and retrieve vehicles, use stairs and elevators, and may need to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
The employee must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
