Responsibilities
  • Direct incoming customers to available parking spaces.
  • Count vehicles on location throughout the shift, as needed.
  • Write and issue violation warnings to tenants and visitors that violate garage policies.
  • Patrol transient and reserved parking levels on foot or in customized motor carts, if applicable.
  • Provide assistance to customers that have forgotten where they parked their vehicle.
  • Be at work every scheduled day, on time and in uniform.
  • Courteously assist customers by answering any questions they may have; if necessary, direct the customer to the Facility Manager.
  • Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed.
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of parking equipment and any general maintenance tasks as directed by the Facility Manager.
  • Report any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of company policy, safety hazards, or any unusual occurrence to the Facility Manager.
  • Report debris, water, oil spills and other hazards to the garage office.
  • Substitute for valets when necessary, if authorized.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of all garage areas, major streets, landmarks and freeways surrounding the location.
  • Assist the Facility Manager with other duties as needed.
Qualifications

Education/Experience

Required:

Less than high school education or one month related experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

License Requirement: A valid state‑issued driver’s license, current address, and acceptable driving record if the employee is expected to drive company vehicles or travel on company business.

Availability to Work: Availability for second shift, third shift, and/or weekends may be required depending on location.

Language

Skills:

Ability to read, comprehend and respond to simple written instructions; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to present information in one‑on‑one situations to customers and coworkers.

Mathematical

Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide two‑digit numbers, and use these operations with U.S. currency.

Appearance: Employees must maintain a neat, clean appearance and wear a complete uniform at all times.

Physical Demands: The job requires standing, walking, using hands for cash and equipment, occasionally sitting, climbing, balancing, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made for qualified individuals with disabilities.

Salary Range: $14.00 – $16.00 per hour

Benefits: Eligible employees will participate in benefits plans including medical, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, long/short‑term disability, life insurance, accident insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.
