Lot Attendant - Opry House (Evening Shifts)

Position: Lot Attendant
Location: Opry House, Nashville, TN
Employment Type: Part‑time, evenings
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Basic Function: Ensure an appropriate number of cars are kept on location, parked properly, and that the lot remains clean and presentable.
Responsibilities:
- Direct incoming customers to available parking spaces.
- Count vehicles on location throughout the shift as needed.
- Write and issue violation warnings to tenants and visitors that violate garage policies.
- Patrol transient and reserved parking levels on foot or in customized motor carts, if applicable.
- Assist customers who have forgotten where they parked.
- Arrive at work on time, in uniform, and on every scheduled day.
- Answer customer questions courteously; refer to the Facility Manager if necessary.
- Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed.
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of parking equipment and other general maintenance tasks as directed by the Facility Manager.
- Report accidents, violations, safety hazards, or other unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager.
- Communicate debris, water, oil spills, etc. to the garage office.
- Substitute for Valets when authorized.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of the garage, major streets, landmarks, and nearby freeways.
- Assist the Facility Manager with other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Education/
Experience:
Less than a high school education or one month related experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
License Requirement: A valid state‑issued driver’s license with a current address and acceptable driving record if the candidate is expected to drive a company vehicle.
Availability: Willingness to work 2nd shift, 3rd shift, and/or weekends as required.

Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and to write simple correspondence.
Mathematical
Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide two‑digit numbers and numbers in the tens and hundreds, including using units of U.S. money.
Appearance: Maintain a neat, clean appearance and be in complete uniform at all times.
Physical Demands: Regularly stand, walk, and handle cash and equipment; occasionally sit, climb, balance, or lift up to 25 pounds. Reasonable accommodations can be made when feasible.
Salary: $17.00 per hour
