Team members are classified based on individual theatre needs, and/or employee availability, as either variable hour, part-time fixed, part-time regular or full-time hourly employees whose primary responsibility is ensuring our guests receive exceptional service. Team members may be scheduled to work in the Box Office, Concession Stand, or as an Usher. Team members must act as a representative of Regal in a way that is consistent with our mission statement and policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Regular and consistent attendance
  • Handling emergency situations when called upon
  • General cleaning duties
  • Compliance with company dress code
  • Box Office duties: operating POS system, handling cash drawer and various payment types, up-selling/suggestive selling of Premium Viewing Experience, promoting the Regal Crown Club program, ensuring tickets comply with MPAA rating system and company policy, responding to phone calls and questions from guests.
  • Concession duties: operating POS system, maintaining cash drawer accuracy, stock inventory, promoting Crown Club, preparing and cleaning concession equipment, up-selling/suggestive selling, compliance with food safety laws, observing break/meal periods, ensuring alcohol certification, reading training on harassment and discrimination.
  • Usher duties: tearing tickets, directing patrons to auditoriums, inspecting backpacks/packages, crowd control, enforcing MPAA rating, conducting inspections for picture and sound quality, reporting problems, performing in-auditorium concession sales, cleaning auditoriums and public areas, monitoring vending equipment, assisting with opening/closing duties.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of cast certification program and, for box office cashiers, progress toward completion required.
  • Legal age to sell/serve alcohol if duties include alcohol service, and completion of required state/local training and Regal Responsible Beverage Server training.
  • Good public speaking, effective listening, clear and direct communication.
  • Math ability: perform calculations with speed and accuracy, identify and correct errors.
  • Reasoning ability: identify problems, gather data, evaluate alternatives, reach conclusions, act under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills with customers, co‑workers and management; ability to set goals, budget time, and prioritize.

Physical Demands:

The job requires standing, walking, sitting, using hands, reaching, speaking, hearing; occasional climbing or balancing. May be required to lift up to 60 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
