Director of Financial Planning and Analysis

SHR Talent is partnering with a growing, multi‑site healthcare organization located just south of Nashville, TN, in the search for a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis. The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on finance leader to join a mission‑driven organization making an impact in the healthcare space.

The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis role offers strong exposure to executive leadership and private equity partners, as well as flexibility with a hybrid work schedule with 2–4 days in‑office.

As the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, you will play a key leadership role in driving financial performance and strategic decision‑making, leading the company’s budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling functions while serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the company’s financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models to support business growth and strategic initiatives
  • Deliver actionable financial insights and recommendations to executive leadership
  • Prepare board and investor presentations with strong analytical and visual clarity
  • Manage and mentor members of the Financial Planning & Analysis team, fostering a culture of accuracy and accountability
  • Oversee variance analysis, key performance metrics, and financial reporting deliverables
  • Partner cross‑functionally across accounting, operations, and clinical teams to drive alignment
  • Enhance reporting tools and financial processes using Oracle and other analytics platforms
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Certified Public Accountant license, preferred
  • 5–7 years of progressive finance experience, including 3+ years in leadership
  • Deep understanding of Financial Planning & Analysis processes, financial modeling, and analysis
  • Healthcare industry experience preferred, especially in multi‑site or service‑based environments
  • Proficiency in Oracle, Excel, and financial reporting tools such as Power BI and Tableau
  • Excellent communication skills with executive presence and board‑level polish
