Staff Accountant

Our client is seeking a GL Accountant with a strong foundation in general ledger accounting and month-end close who wants more ownership, visibility, and the opportunity to grow within a fast-paced, collaborative finance team.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands‑on, takes pride in accuracy, and is motivated by improving processes rather than just maintaining them. You’ll be supporting core accounting functions while working closely with finance leadership in a high‑energy corporate environment.

You’ll work closely with the VP of Finance and gain visibility across the business, while building a strong foundation for long‑term growth into Senior or Manager‑level roles.

• Own key components of the month‑end close process
• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and adjustments
• Perform cash, bank, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Review daily transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Assist with monthly financial statement preparation and reporting
• Support internal and external audits with documentation and analysis
• Partner cross‑functionally to resolve discrepancies and improve workflows
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and controls

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 1‑3 years of general ledger or corporate accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and month‑end close processes
• Experience with Excel and ERP systems (Sage Intacct, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Confidence communicating your work, priorities, and impact
• CPA or CPA‑track is a plus, but not required
