Join Magellan Health as a Personal Financial Counselor to provide full‑spectrum financial counseling services to military service members and their families at assigned installations.

• Provide personal financial counseling and management services directly to service members and families.
• Assist with establishing spending plans for extended absences.
• Develop and disseminate financial informational materials.
• Coordinate, publicize, and deliver diverse Personal Financial Management classes and workshops covering all military lifecycle stages.
• Respond to requests for age‑appropriate classes or seminars.
• Utilize virtual counseling or electronic communication modes, such as web‑based, secure chat, or video teleconference, as authorized by the OSD FINRED Program office.
• Manage duty‑to‑warn situations in accordance with DoD protocol.
• Communicate with leadership; participate in regular individual and group supervision, sharing trends and installation issues.
• Engage in regular in‑services, training, quality‑improvement committees, or other contract duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree required; may consider an associate degree plus four years’ experience, or high school diploma plus six years’ experience.
• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• U.S. citizenship and fluent English required; bilingual English/Spanish if contract requires.
• Must obtain a Tier 2 investigation and pass OCIs disclosure process.
• Certifications:
  
  Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) required.

Salary range: $53,125 – $84,995. Eligible for short‑term incentives and a comprehensive benefits package covering health, life, and wellness.
