Overview
Centene Corporation invites applications for an Associate Actuary – Medicare
. The role focuses on Medicare financial forecasting, actuarial analyses, and bid support for 32 Medicare Advantage markets. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
Remote work from any continental U.S. location. Ideal schedule is ET or CT.
Responsibilities- Serve as main point of contact for quarterly Medicare expense forecasts.
- Apply mathematics, probability, statistics, finance, and business principles to predict financial outcomes.
- Develop and maintain forecast assumptions and models based on statistical data and market trends.
- Analyze and evaluate business risks and opportunities.
- Research and analyze impacts from legislative and regulatory changes.
- Review complex data reports, uncover trends and gaps, and recommend strategic actions to drive results.
- Contribute actuarial expertise to the organization’s long‑range financial planning.
- Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) or equivalent international certification.
- Minimum 2 years of actuarial experience; 2+ years of Medicare actuarial experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
- Preferred MAAA certification for bid eligibility.
Pay Range $87,700 – $157,800 per year. Competitive benefits package including health insurance, 401(k), stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, holidays, and flexible work options.
