Athen is building a new investment category focused on backing people, not just companies.

We lead investments in individuals through long-term holding companies that capture the full scope of what they build over a time period, and use the Athen platform to allow investors to participate alongside us at scale.

We source and vet high-potential individuals, help them establish their Hold Co, and fund them through:

• Athen Fund I (institutional capital)
• Athen SPVs (primarily accredited investor capital raised through the Athen platform)

Athen operates the investment infrastructure behind this model—managing sourcing, onboarding, capital coordination, and execution end to end.

We are raising $3M at the fund level and raised a $1M pre‑seed round at the company level to expand the team and help scale the platform.

As Senior Investment Associate, you will be responsible for making sure Athen’s investments are executed smoothly and at scale.

• Run the pipeline of individuals from inbound through funding
• Model return probabilities and scenario analysis on potential investments
• Maintain a portfolio view of all funded individuals
• Consistently build out fund materials and decks
• Ensure each individual is fully prepared to raise capital (structure, onboarding, compliance)
• Ensure investors are ready and coordinated for each Fund and SPV deployment
• Coordinate legal, accounting, and internal teams to execute investments cleanly
• Build and improve systems so this process becomes faster, repeatable, and reliable
• Own timelines, accuracy, and execution quality for every investment

• Experience in investment banking, venture capital, private equity, or similar investment roles
• Very strong investment and modeling experience
• Strong attention to detail and high ownership
• Proactive problem solver/do‑er who takes complete ownership of their domain without needing constant direction
• Thrives in fast‑moving environments and enjoys managing multiple parts of a complex machine
• Systems‑driven – likes building workflows, solving bottlenecks, and making processes scalable leveraging modern tools
• Asks and answers own questions, and has confidence acting on own convictions
