The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team and play a vital role in maintaining financial accuracy and driving operational efficiency. This role will lead the monthly close process, oversee reconciliations across multiple sales platforms, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, merchandising, and technology. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys both detailed accounting work and contributing to broader financial strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute the monthly close process with precision and timeliness.
- Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules (e.g., bank accounts, accounts receivable, deferred revenue, fixed assets).
- Reconcile and interpret transactional data across ecommerce and retail platforms such as Shopify, Amazon, Tik Tok, Stripe, and others.
- Ensure compliance with tax requirements, including sales tax and international filings.
- Support audits and contribute to maintaining strong internal controls.
- Create weekly and monthly financial reports for leadership and retail teams.
- Collaborate with departments on expense tracking, campaign analysis, and tax coding for new products.
- Assist with process improvements and special projects, particularly those related to system integrations and ecommerce expansion.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification is a plus.
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within retail or ecommerce industries.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal control frameworks.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, SUMIF); experience with Net Suite and Celigo is a bonus.
- Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills.
- A high level of attention to detail and the ability to manage tasks independently in a dynamic environment.
