Salary Level
- $99,461.00 – $
Salary is commensurate with base, locality, and availability pay. Agent trainees receive locality pay for the Washington, D.C. area plus availability pay, which is 25% of the base and locality pay.
Major Duties
- Plan and conduct investigations of potential violations of federal laws, cybersecurity, and public safety.
- Exercise judgment, resourcefulness, and versatility in meeting investigative demands.
- Create and maintain effective liaison relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law‑enforcement agencies.
- Maintain a level of physical fitness to ensure readiness for law‑enforcement duties.
Key Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must be able to obtain a Top Secret SCI clearance.
- Must be a current federal law‑enforcement officer (1811).
- Must have at least two (2) years of full‑time, consecutive federal 1811 employment.
- Must pass an FBI pistol qualification on an FBI‑issued firearm prior to attending ASAT.
- Must meet the FBI’s employment eligibility requirements.
- Must be willing to travel as required.
Education
- Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or higher from a U.S. accredited college or university; degrees verified by submitting college transcripts.
