Join Vanderbilt University Medical Center as an Emergency Communication Specialist. The role involves performing flight coordination, ground and event communications coordination, providing information and emergency notification to customers, and working with advanced communications systems.

Job Summary: The Emergency Communication Specialist will perform flight coordination, provide information and emergency notification to customers, and work with advanced communications systems. The ideal candidate will have 911 dispatch experience and be available to work various shifts, including holidays and weekends.

  • 911 Dispatch Experience Preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and document safe, efficient, and accurate flight coordination.
  • Understand the operations and applications of all communication equipment.
  • Communicate information and emergency notification to customers in an efficient, concise, and courteous manner.

Technical Capabilities:

  • Listening (Intermediate):
    Demonstrate a high level of interest during all forms of communication.
  • Decision Making (Novice):
    Make multiple decisions simultaneously which impact areas of direct responsibility.
  • Change Management (Novice):
    Establish a structured methodology for responding to changes in the environment.

    LIC-Emergency Medical Technicians Basic - Licensure-Others
  • Work Experience:

    Relevant Work Experience
  • Experience Level: Less than 1 year
  • Education:

    High School Diploma or GED
