Biomedical Equipment Tech II (3:30 pm‑Midnight/Mon‑Fri) – Nashville, TN
Join TRIMEDX as a Biomedical Equipment Technician II to install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and verify the performance of complex biomedical equipment. This 2nd shift position (Mon‑Fri, 3:30 pm‑midnight) requires a technical background and a commitment to the Tri Medx core values.
Responsibilities- Perform performance assurance (PA) inspections, scheduled maintenance, electrical safety inspections (ESI), and operation verification procedures (OVP) on complex biomedical equipment.
- Repair, install, and calibrate complex biomedical equipment.
- Inform supervisors of repair status, inspection findings, and customer concerns.
- Work with subcontractors, vendors, and outside service technicians to ensure proper service delivery.
- Maintain biomedical expertise through ongoing training and education.
- Assist with Service Operations Special Projects.
- Ensure accuracy of the equipment database, inventory, and service history.
- Adhere to the Medical Equipment Management Plan (MEMP) and regulatory agency compliances.
- Build and maintain customer relationships and discuss equipment status with clinicians.
- Perform periodic inventory inspections and provide recommendations.
- Complex computer skills (system administration, error code interpretation, etc.).
- Ability to integrate information from multiple sources.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentational communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license; variable travel may be required.
- 2‑year degree in a technical/electronics field or equivalent experience (may be waived with TRIMEDX Trained Certification or equivalent biomedical certification). Technical Certification (CBET) strongly preferred.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working with biomedical equipment in a clinical engineering environment.
- Travel may be required.
