Monday–Friday, approx. 7:45 AM – 3:15 PM

Hours per Week: 37.5

The Behavior Technician will provide educational and behavioral support to children with exceptional needs in a school setting. This role involves working 1:1 with students, assisting with daily living skills, and collaborating with teachers and behavioral specialists to achieve learning and behavioral goals.

• Work directly with students in a low-incidence classroom setting.
• Assist with toileting and daily living skills.
• Support students with exceptional needs, typically in general education settings.
• Manage behaviors, which may include occasional aggressive behaviors.
• Be flexible to support other students or classrooms as needed.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One of the following:
• 60 college credits
• Associate’s degree
• Paraprofessional license
• At least 1–2 years of behavioral experience (pediatric experience preferred).
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Current CPR certification (if applicable).
• TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable).
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
• Must live within 20 minutes of the school.
• Must complete fingerprinting in Tennessee prior to starting.

• No client interview required.
