Job Title: Histotechnologist

Duration:: 3+ months

Location: 2000 Church Street, Nashville, TN 37236

Shift: 3rd Shift | 3:00 AM – 11:30 AM | Tuesday–Saturday

Interview Mode :
In person preferred. Video conference with camera on.

Pay Rate: $38/hr.

Position Summary

The Histotechnologist is responsible for performing complex medical laboratory tests to support the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. This role ensures high‑quality laboratory practices through accurate testing, supervision, and adherence to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review laboratory findings to ensure accuracy and reliability of results
  • Supervise clinical studies and research‑related laboratory projects
  • Instruct staff on the operation, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory equipment, including spectrophotometers, calorimeters, flame photometers, and computer‑controlled analyzers
  • Develop, standardize, evaluate, and modify laboratory procedures, techniques, and tests
  • Establish and monitor quality assurance programs to maintain accuracy and compliance
  • Supervise, train, and mentor laboratory assistants, technicians, and technologists
  • Ensure proper documentation and accurate recording of laboratory data and results
Required Skills & Competencies

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities
  • Expert knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and applicable local regulations
  • Strong understanding of diagnostic laboratory techniques and disease processes
  • Advanced ability to analyze data and document results accurately
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or a related field (required)
  • 5–7 years of relevant laboratory experience (required)
