RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Must have cardiac experience and strong critical care experience required

• 32-bed cardiac care unit with 2:1 patient ratios

• 4-week scheduling periods with 3-4 weekend shifts required per period

• Float to other units as needed depending on census

• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS

• Advanced skills needed: PA catheter and hemodynamic monitoring, IABP, Impella, CRRT preferred

• Perform procedures including central line insertion, swan insertion, and intubations

• Work with Hill-Rom beds and Phillips telemetry monitors

• Use Meditech documentation system

• Student nurse externs available as techs with unit secretary available Monday-Friday 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM

• Dress code:
Galaxy blue, red, or black scrubs with scrub jackets or vests only

• Work in growing cardiogenic shock program with 12 beds allotted to cardiogenic shock patients
