Psychiatry - Psychology
Job SummaryProvide direct supervision support for specified research projects; collect, assess, and assist in studies focused on psychotic disorders. A full‑time research assistant is needed to join a laboratory within the Vanderbilt Psychiatric Hospital focused on studying psychotic disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Recruit research subjects into various clinical research studies.
- Assist investigators in the collection and analysis of study data.
- Perform psychiatric diagnostic and symptom interviews.
- Administer cognitive tests and conduct neuroimaging study protocols.
- Attend clinical meetings and assist with recruitment in inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Assist with the development of IRB documents, database management, and analysis of behavioral and brain imaging data.
- Participate in manuscript preparation.
- Bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field (e.g., neuroscience, human development).
- Experience in a clinical research setting is highly desirable.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) is preferred.
- Training in diagnostic interviewing methods, cognitive testing, and neuroimaging data analysis will be provided.
