Event Manager – Embassy Suites Nashville Downtown

Embassy Suites by Hilton Nashville Downtown, located in the heart of Music City, is looking for talented individuals to join our team. As a job applicant, you will have the opportunity to work in a premier, all-suite hotel that offers exceptional service and amenities to our guests.

You will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of events, from initial planning to execution, ensuring an unforgettable experience for our guests. The Event Planning Manager acts as a liaison between customers and hotel sales staff, providing direction and supervision during the execution of meetings, banquet functions, or events. You will be available to customers during the event to resolve issues and suggest alternatives to previous arrangements, serving group and catering customers proactively while managing group room blocks, food and beverage, public meeting spaces, and billing processes.

• Coordinate all aspects of events, including planning, scheduling, and execution.
• Act as a liaison between customers and hotel sales staff during events.
• Provide direction and supervision during the execution of meetings and banquet functions.
• Resolve problems and suggest alternatives during events.
• Serve group and catering customers proactively, managing logistics of room blocks, food and beverage, meeting spaces, and billing processes.

• Bachelor's degree and/or 2+ years of hotel sales experience.
• 1-year food and beverage experience.
• Strong understanding of negotiation and interpretation of contracts.
• Developed business communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office.
• Professional appearance and confidence.
• Effective communication with the public and team members.
• Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Experience with major Hospitality Sales CRM systems.
