How you make a differenceThe Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic partner, aligning organizational goals with employee and management needs. They provide guidance on employee relations, policy interpretation, compliance, compensation, and benefits, playing a key role in onboarding and development to support organizational success and growth.
Key Responsibilities- Counsel and advise employees and managers, interpret policies, and recommend improvements.
- Conduct investigations into employee relations issues and advise managers accordingly.
- Identify training needs and collaborate with management to enhance work relationships, morale, productivity, and retention.
- Provide performance management guidance, including coaching, counseling, and career development.
- Define role responsibilities, skills, and experiences for organizational positions, ensuring consistent compensation practices throughout the employee lifecycle.
Education
- BA/BS in Business, Human Resources, or related field
Experience
- At least 3 years in HR management/partner role
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, HRIS, and internet applications
- Healthcare or Corrections experience is a plus
Licenses/Certifications
- Preferably PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification
Travel up to 40%, occasionally more, to county facilities and meetings, including out-of-state. Candidates should reside in IL, IN, MI, OH, or WI.
