Who you areYou are a highly motivated, experienced Senior HR Business Partner reporting to the Director of Human Resources, ready to strategically partner with senior leadership and employees across corporate functions. You drive people strategies that align with business goals, foster a positive work environment, enhance organizational effectiveness and ensure a best‑in‑class employee experience for our corporate population. You are a resourceful problem‑solver with a solid understanding of HR best practices and thrive in fast‑paced, dynamic environments.
Whatyou'll do
- Act as a strategic HR partner to assigned business leaders, translating business goals into actionable HR strategies and solutions.
- Lead and support critical talent initiatives including workforce planning, talent acquisition strategy, performance management, succession planning and leadership development programs.
- Drive organizational effectiveness by identifying improvement opportunities in structure, processes and culture; support change‑management initiatives.
- Give expert guidance on complex employee relations issues, investigations, disciplinary actions and conflict resolution, ensuring fair application of policies and compliance with labor laws.
- Partner with the Total Rewards team to deliver competitive compensation practices, benefits administration and recognition programs that attract and retain top talent.
- Implement and interpret HR policies, procedures and programs; ensure compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.
- Use HR data and metrics to identify trends, diagnose issues and provide insights to business leaders.
- Champion our culture and values, including diversity and inclusion; develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement, morale and retention.
- Provide coaching and guidance to leaders and employees on career development, team dynamics and effective communication.
- Ability to work in office 4 days a week.
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3‑5 years in a dedicated HR Business Partner role supporting senior leadership in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strategic thinking and ability to translate business needs into HR solutions.
- Strong understanding of business operations, financial metrics and the impact of HR on business success.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication and presentation skills; ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
- Analytical and problem‑solving skills with a data‑driven decision‑making approach.
- Experience leading and supporting change initiatives.
- In‑depth knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and other HR technologies.
- Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SPHR, SHRM‑SCP).
The anticipated base salary for this position is $ – $ annually. This is one component of Metropolis's total compensation package, which may also include access to health care benefits, a 401(k) plan, short‑term and long‑term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a lucrative stock option plan, performance‑based bonus plans and more.
