Human Resources Director

Nashville, TN

• Oversee and continuously optimize the organization’s HR management system (Paycom), supporting the full employee lifecycle from onboarding through offboarding.
• Lead end-to-end recruitment in partnership with hiring managers, including hiring strategy, interviews, offers, and onboarding.
• Administer payroll and employee benefits programs, including open enrollment, vendor relationships, compliance, and employee education.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on employee relations, performance management, investigations, and documentation, handling sensitive matters with discretion and fairness.
• Maintain and update employee policies, handbooks, and HR resources to ensure clarity, accessibility, and compliance with federal and state employment laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA).
• Support professional development initiatives and internal committees, partnering with senior leadership and Board-level stakeholders as needed.
• Foster an approachable, inclusive HR presence that promotes trust, transparency, and engagement across the organization.

• Bachelor’s degree required – Master’s preferred
• SHRM or HRCI certification required
• 5+ years of experience required with at least 3 of those in a leadership role
• Experience with in the education or non‑profit field required
• Paycom HRIS experience highly preferred
