Training & Development Specialist

Hybrid/Any facility
• 25% travel

The Training & Development Specialist will develop and deliver job‑specific training initiatives to improve operational performance. This role designs, implements, and evaluates training programs to enhance workforce skills and knowledge. Working closely with management across the organization, the specialist identifies high‑performing employee development plans and tracks progress.

Duties / Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop comprehensive training guidelines and materials for manufacturing roles.
  • Partner with managers and executives to identify training needs and prioritize initiatives.
  • Coordinate and conduct training sessions, workshops, and demonstrations.
  • Assist with Talent & Succession efforts organization‑wide.
  • Maintain a training materials database and accurate records of training activities, attendance, and completion.
  • Manage training documents in the HRIS system.
  • Work closely with the QHES department for training administration.
  • Support onboarding and orientation sessions for new employees.
  • Provide coaching and support to reinforce learning and facilitate development.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience in training and development required (2‑3 years).
  • Experience with a multi‑state organization.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Effective multitasker with demonstrated ability to prioritize.
  • Proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality and build relationships.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be willing to travel to facilities as needed.
  • Ability to travel between locations, including driving and flying.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds at times.
