Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead their payroll function and ensure accurate, compliant payroll operations. The ideal candidate is meticulous, knowledgeable in payroll regulations, and comfortable managing both processes and people within a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily payroll workflow, ensuring timely and accurate processing for all employees.
  • Maintain compliance with payroll laws and regulations across relevant jurisdictions, including reporting and tax-related requirements.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to payroll team members, supporting training, development, and process consistency.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records, including employee data, changes, and deductions, with an emphasis on confidentiality and data integrity.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, benefits, and accounting teams to resolve payroll issues and support broader departmental initiatives.
  • Contribute to system and process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reporting capabilities.
  • Prepare routine and ad hoc payroll reports for management purposes.
Qualifications
  • Strong working knowledge of payroll regulations, multi-state compliance, and general payroll procedures.
  • Proficiency with payroll and HRIS platforms; experience with large or cloud-based systems preferred.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail when handling sensitive payroll data.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address payroll questions and improve processes.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to work with stakeholders at various levels.
