Description

Position Summary: The Business Analyst reports to the CIO and is responsible for implementation, support and continuous improvement of QAD ERP systems within Carlex at all manufacturing and distribution sites as well as the Corporate office.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Implementation support, operational support and continuous improvement of QAD ERP systems within all of Carlex
  • Identify areas for improvement within plant operations, inventory controls, financial controls, and supply chain planning developing approaches and strategic plans to implement those improvements
  • Analyse business processes and identify opportunities for improvement using QAD ERP solutions.
  • Configure, maintain, and support QAD ERP modules to align with business requirements.
  • Understand and manage EDI transactions, ensuring accurate and efficient data exchange between trading partners and internal systems.
  • Interact with plant management and other management as required to carry out duties and to determine business needs and priorities
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, finance, and manufacturing, to optimize QAD functionalities.
  • Document business requirements, process flows, and system configurations for future reference.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on QAD ERP and EDI processes.
  • Promote IT as a valued business partner during all interactions
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or similar discipline, plus in-depth understanding of the business process associated with manufacturing, supply chain planning, and shop floor execution
  • At least 10-years’ experience in business process management in a manufacturing environment
Years of Experience
  • 5-10 years of experience in business process management in a manufacturing environment with a bachelor’s degree; or, equivalent experience
  • At least 5 years of experience supporting ERP applications software and the supply chain planning and execution process with emphasis on functional process analysis and implementation
  • QAD Manufacturing/PRO ERP 2018 software experience a plus
Other Requirements
  • Work beyond the traditional 40 hours per week may be required as work load or projects dictate, including weekends and holidays
Other Skills
  • Working knowledge of Unix operating system desired
  • Experience with Cyber Query reporting tool
  • Familiarity with QXtend, Progress/Open Edge, or other QAD integration tools.
  • Knowledge of ERP project implementations and upgrades.
  • Certification in QAD or EDI-related tools is a plus
KEY COMPETENCIES
  • Knowledge of and implementation experience with the QAD /PRO ERP system in a manufacturing environment, with automotive exposure preferred
  • Understanding of integrated financial processes and data/process flows/interactions within ERP systems
  • Experience with various reporting tools against Progress databases
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to all levels of an organization.
  • Project management skills with ERP systems and proven ability to execute and provide results
  • Strong work organization and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Interpersonal skills appropriate for interaction within all levels of an organization
  • Advanced/Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office Suite;
    Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Hands-on approach to problem solving and analysis
  • Excellent Analytical Skills
